A VIDEO on the effect of coalmining on Hunter Region waterways will be shown for the first time at a public meeting at Singleton Civic Centre at 7pm tomorrow.

The showing of Rivers of Shame 2 has been organised by Minewatch NSW and the Hunter Environment Lobby.

The meeting will discuss mining's effect on the environment and health.
