ST GEORGE Illawarra coach Nathan Brown doesn't think he needs a video replay of Shellharbour's victory over Erina on Saturday night to get a picture of how Wendell Sailor's NRL comeback is coming along.

But he reckons big Dell might show him the highlights reel anyway.

The word had filtered through to Brown at ANZ Stadium about Sailor's heroics a couple of hours away at Ron Costello Oval.

And, still smiling after the Dragons thrashed an understrength Melbourne Storm 36-12, Brown said he will hear plenty more about the Marlins' comeback 30-22 win, where Sailor scored the final two tries, at training today.

"I'm sure Dell will tell me on Monday, or tonight or tomorrow," he said after beating the Storm.

"All I heard was they were behind and big Dell scored a couple to put them in front and win them the game.

"So that's what we're reliably informed and I'm sure Dell will reliably inform us all on Monday at training without a shadow of a doubt.

"He'll turn up with a video and cut his own tape and show everyone."

While Sailor is expected to return to the NRL in the next three weeks, the Dragons showed they still had plenty of potency without his massive frame on the right wing on Saturday night.

Dragons left-winger Jason Nightingale floated across to the right-hand side during a second-half attacking raid and released Michael Lett to streak away and score one of four second-half tries.

"I just turn up on some occasions," Nightingale said.

"Letty called an over call, he wanted the ball and I didn't think there was anything on, but he called it so I thought I'd better run."

While the Dragons produced their best attacking performance of the season, it was witnessed by just 6881 fans in the massive Olympic Stadium.

Brown said the absence of Origin players and the rain around Sydney had conspired to deny the clash of a bigger crowd.

The attraction of watching big Wendell's return might have also seen a few more fans travel to Shellharbour instead, Brown admitted.

"And with the Storm being without nine Origin players, us being without three Origin players, they're obviously pretty fair players," he said.
